A LUXURY APARTMENT DESERVES A FIVE-STAR INSTALLATION...AGAIN!
Overview
The Hereford Residences undertook a gymnasium upgrade to further enhance the overall resident experience with modern, quiet, and visually refined fitness equipment. The objective was to create a contemporary training space that supports a wide range of users while aligning with the premium standard of the building. Achieve Fitness was engaged to deliver a tailored solution, including a custom-designed floor plan that maximised functionality, safety, and comfort.
Challenges
As an unsupervised facility, the gym required equipment that was intuitive, safe, and suitable for residents of varying ages and fitness abilities. Reducing operational noise remained a priority to ensure minimal disruption to surrounding apartments. Varying feedback from resisdences needs and expectations required careful negotioation, thoughts and feedback to ensure the vision and end result benefited all resisdnce!
The location of the gym on the 7th floor of the building also presented logistical challenges. Large equipment needed to be transported through limited access points, including narrow doorways and small elevators. Careful planning was required to complete the installation efficiently while minimising disruption to residents.
Solution
A carefully selected range of Spirit cardio equipment was installed, paired with a mix of Spirit and York strength machines to deliver a balanced and versatile training environment. Easy-to-use selectorised strength equipment was incorporated to enhance accessibility and safety for all users.
To simplify operation and create a consistent user experience, all cardio machines were supplied with the same console interface. Strength equipment was selected with a strong emphasis on stability, ergonomics, and safe independent use.
Resident preferences were also considered in the layout design, with dedicated open floor space retained for stretching, Pilates, and yoga. To support long-term performance and reliability, a scheduled six-monthly maintenance programme was implemented for all equipment.
Result
The upgraded gymnasium delivers a modern, welcoming fitness space that meets the needs of The Hereford Residences community. Feedback from residents and management has been overwhelmingly positive, particularly regarding equipment quality, ease of use, and the improved layout.
